Requirements:

  • Hardware (minimum)
  • Intel Core or AMD equivalent processors above 2 GHz.
  • 4 GB of physical memory.
  • 4 GB of free disk space.
  • Server network connection.

  • Software
  • 64-bit (x64) Windows Server, XP, Vista, 7, 8, 8.1 or 10.
  • Microsoft SQL Server Compact 3.5 Service Pack 2 (Installed automatically during installation).
  • Microsoft .NET Framework 4 (Installed / updated automatically during installation if not found during install or back-revved).
  • ATSMON system must be a Member Computer of a Windows Domain with an Active Directory and should be installed with admin access.
  • Windows Power Management (hibernation/stand-by/sleep) must be disabled during the collection period.

    • The Lenovo ATS Monitoring Tool is run on a dedicated Windows system for a period of time, capturing configuration and workload performance data. The data is stored in a “SQL Server Compact” (.sdf) database file. When the data collection is complete, the data is sent to Lenovo's Techline or System x Lab Services for report generation. The reports include a series of .csv files and a large PDF file containing detailed information and graphs for each target system.

    Note: The Lenovo ATS Monitoring Tool can collect and process Windows, ESXi and Ganglia information, either together or separately, but NOTE: the tool does NOT run NMON or SAR.
